DONRUSS DIAMOND KINGS KELLY GRUBER

Back:
NO. 12 | DONRUSS DIAMOND KINGS | KELLY GRUBER | Third Baseman | TORONTO BLUE JAYS | Kelly Gruber is probably the finest young third base-man in the American League today. In only three full seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, Gruber is estab-lishing himself as a good hitter and run producer. Gruber is one of the many talents the Blue Jays have discovered in the major league draft conducted during the winter meetings. They plucked him out of the Cleveland organization in 1983 and after two years at Triple-A Syracuse, the Blue Jays promoted him to the majors. After two years as a utility player, Gruber earned the starting third base job in 1988 and he figures to be there for many years. He hit .290 in 1989, had 83 runs, 24 doubles, 18 home runs and 73 RBI. | ©1989 LEAF, INC. • MADE & PRINTED IN U.S.A. • PEREZ-STEELE GALLERIES
