DONRUSS DIAMOND KINGS DAN GLADDEN DYKES

Back:
NO. 22 DONRUSS DIAMOND KINGS DAN GLADDEN Outfielder MINNESOTA Twins Dan Gladden is a throwback to the old timers who played on the Gas House Gang Cardinals of the 1930's. He's a feisty player, always hustling and fighting to win. In 1987 the Minnesota Twins acquired Gladden in a deal with the San Francisco Giants. His character fit perfectly with the team that won the World Series that year. He set the table for Gary Gaetti, Kirby Puckett and Kent Hrbek. Gladden, a pesky hitter, would get on any way he could and taunted pitchers with his speed. Dan was plagued by injuries last season, but knowing him, he'll be back for more in 1990. His .295 average coupled with his 23 doubles and 23 stolen bases are good omens for the Twins. ©1989 LEAF, INC. • MADE & PRINTED IN U.S.A. • PEREZ-STEELE GALLERIES
